Dr. Tan holds a Ph.D. from Southern Cross University in Australia, a Master of Advanced Business Practices from the University of South Australia, and a Bachelor of Science and Master of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, USA.
Dr. Tan is the foreign secretary of FATER Academy of India, whose members include esteemed professors from around the globe. He also serves on the editorial boards of several international journals. Dr. Tan has held several senior leadership positions, including Vice President at Seafresh Company Limited, a publicly listed firm in Thailand; Director and Principal at FRIS Institute of Robotics, Malaysia; and Group Technical Manager at Hong Leong Group Malaysia, one of the country’s largest conglomerates. He was also appointed as an Adjunct Professor for the Ph.D. program in Business Administration at Asia eUniversity, Malaysia.
Dr. Tan has more than 330 peer-reviewed publications, including publications with Elsevier and Emerald, and has delivered more than 100 keynote speeches worldwide. His current research specializations include strategic management, business ethics and CSR, AI in management, operations management, consumer behavior and branding, organizational behavior and change management, organizational learning, Buddhist approaches in management, sustainability, competitiveness, tourism, and hospitality.
